- 90 grams of butter
- 2 Onions chopped
- 1 clove of garlic chopped
- 600 grams of mushrooms (I used a mixture of normal and chestnut mushrooms)
- 2 tablespoons of plain flour
- 1 litre of chicken stock
- 1 or 2 Bay leaves (I used 2 smallish ones)
- About 50 to 100 mls of cream, depends on your required taste (I used double cream)
- Salt and pepper to season
- Some extra mushrooms and a knob of butter
Add a litre of chicken stock and your bay leaves, leave to simmer for 10 minutes. Add salt and pepper to season.
I added the extra mushrooms and knob of butter in a little pan and cooked. This is optional, I did it to serve over the top so it looks pretty.
And SERVE. either go to your local bakery and get some yummy crusty bread or bake your own like me. I served mine with a Parmesan and prosciutto bread which I made earlier in the day.
Let me know what you think and your results.
